Position Summary :

The Senior Program Manager, Partnerships at CEGIS would play a crucial role in developing and managing strategic partnerships to support our mission of partnering with state governments to deliver better citizen outcomes. This position reports to VP-Operations / State Engagements and requires a strategic thinker with strong relationship-building skills, capable of balancing multiple programmatic and sectoral requirements.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive partnerships strategy aligned with CEGIS’s mission and goals.
  • Identify and cultivate strategic partnerships with NGOs, academic institutions, and corporate entities to support CEGIS interventions that span across multiple sectors, including Public
  • Finance, Education, Nutrition, Health, and Local Governance.
  • Manage strong functional relationships with existing partners, ensuring effective communication, collaboration, and mutual support.
  • Collaborate with program teams to seamlessly integrate partnership activities into project plans.
  • Monitor and evaluate partnership performance, track key metrics, and report on outcomes to stakeholders.
  • Represent CEGIS in external meetings, conferences, and networking events to expand partnership opportunities.
  • Stay informed about industry trends, funding opportunities, and best practices in partnership development.
  • Drawing from our work and from Prof. Karthik’s book, internalise and disseminate the CEGIS
  • Theory of Change amongst key stakeholders and ensure there is resonance of the CEGIS narrative in the partner ecosystem.​

Expected Qualifications:

  • Masters degree in a relevant field (e.g., Public Administration / Public Policy, International Relations, Business / Marketing).
  • Minimum of 10-12 years of experience in partnership development, fundraising, or related roles.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with diverse stakeholders.
  • Proven track record of successful partnership management and collaboration.
  • Experience in project management, including planning, implementation, and evaluation.
  • Knowledge of public sector programs, state government operations, or related sectors is desirable.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritise tasks, and meet deadlines.

Reporting:​

The Senior Program Manager, Partnerships will report  to the VP – Operations / State Engagements and will collaborate closely with our project delivery teams, solution design teams, communications and other teams.

Location and Compensation:

Location: Flexible – Can be in any of these cities in India (Delhi, Mumbai, Bengaluru. Chennai or Hyderabad). The role may involve frequent travel to other locations within India.
Remuneration will be competitive with Indian philanthropy and social sector pay scales and will depend on the candidate’s experience levels.
