**Job Description: State Manager – Mumbai, Maharashtra (NPSA11)**

**Position Overview:**
The State Manager will oversee the development, implementation, monitoring, and reporting of programs for the Maharashtra State Office under the supervision of the Deputy Representative. This role involves leading a team to ensure alignment with UN Women’s strategic goals and objectives.
**Key Responsibilities:**
– Manage programmatic development and provide technical support for initiatives in Maharashtra.
– Oversee monitoring and reporting processes, ensuring compliance with established frameworks and indicators.
– Lead budget management and financial analysis to meet targets and results.
– Build partnerships and develop resource mobilization strategies.
– Conduct training on results-based management and ensure effective team coordination.
**Requirements:**
– **Education:** Master’s degree in Social Sciences, Political Science, Development, Public Administration, or Gender. A Bachelor’s degree with additional experience may be considered.
– **Experience:** At least 5 years of experience in programme management, including design, monitoring, evaluation, donor reporting, and capacity building. Experience in gender-related areas is desirable.
– **Language Skills:** Fluency in English and Marathi; knowledge of another official Indian language is an advantage.
**Competencies:**
– Strong program formulation, implementation, and analytical skills.
– Ability to lead teams effectively and manage budgets.
– Knowledge of Results-Based Management and UN programme systems.
