**Job Description:**
Under the supervision of the Country Programme Manager, the State Manager will be responsible for managing the development, implementation, monitoring, and reporting of UN Women programs in the Maharashtra State Office. This includes providing technical support to the state office, managing monitoring and reporting, overseeing personnel and budget management for the program team, building partnerships, supporting resource mobilization strategies, and managing knowledge-building efforts. Specific responsibilities encompass:
* Programmatic development based on UN Women India’s Strategic Note.
* Providing program advisory support to the State Office Management.
* Guiding the development of the state office and providing technical support for program/project initiatives.
* Reviewing and providing feedback on project/program strategies, work plans, and knowledge products.
* Providing technical advice on systems and processes to support program planning, implementation, monitoring, and reporting.
* Reviewing and evaluating proposals and overseeing the preparation of donor proposals and reports.
* Drafting policy documents and strategic materials.
* Providing technical support for program implementation, including reviewing work plans, analyzing budgets, drafting reports, and managing quality control.
* Managing monitoring and reporting, establishing monitoring standards, and preparing progress reports.
* Overseeing and guiding personnel and budget management for the program team, including conducting performance reviews and ensuring staff capacity development.
* Building partnerships and supporting resource mobilization strategies, including analyzing donor information and developing partnerships.
* Managing knowledge-building efforts, identifying best practices, and contributing to their global dissemination.
* Leading a team of 3 personnel in the state office.
**Experience Required:**
* At least 5 years of progressively responsible experience in program management, including program design, coordination, monitoring and evaluation, donor reporting, and capacity building.
* Experience in working in a gender-related area is desirable.
* Experience in setting priorities, budgets, work plans, participating in program development, and program writing is required.
* Experience in effectively leading teams is desirable.
**Education:**
* Master’s degree or equivalent in Social Sciences, Political Science, Development, Public Administration, or Gender Studies is required. A Bachelor’s degree with two additional years of qualifying experience may be accepted in lieu of a Master’s degree.
* A project/program management certification (such as PMP®, PRINCE2®, or MSP®) is a plus.
**Language Requirements:**
* Fluency in English and Marathi is required.
* Knowledge of another official Indian language is desirable.
