Job Description

The STEM Trainer will be responsible to ensure the effective implementation of Bhumi’s STEM learning program in the assigned partner schools and capacity building of the teachers in all the STEM-related modules.

Roles and Responsibilities:

Work directly with school administrators and staff in the development, implementation, and evaluation of STEM modules.
Deliver the STEM program at the schools identified by Bhumi and also parallelly work on capacity building of the teachers in the STEM education curriculum
Collaborate with the school management team and the teachers in collecting program-specific data for MIS.
Supporting the teachers in the school to plan and prepare timetables for classes in order to achieve lesson objectives and complete the planned sessions on time.
Adopting a data-driven attitude towards measuring learner progress. Conducting assessments for the schools, teachers, and students to evaluate the current levels and the impact of the program.
Regular visits to partner schools to monitor the implementation of the project by Bhumi happening at the school premises.
Organize, develop, and coordinate special STEM events/activities across clusters of schools.
Ensure smooth functioning and implementation of program activities at the school along with the expected outputs.
Hold self-accountable for the day-to-day event execution & operations.
Immediate troubleshooting and resolution of challenges working along with the operations team and the vendor.
Exhibit and display student work across the schools

Preferred Education Qualification / Experience:

Graduation / Post-Graduation – BE / BTech / ME / MTech / MCA / MSc Electronics/ Computer Science
Candidates should be enthusiastic about experimenting with electronic devices.
Experience in Robotics, IoT and artificial intelligence.
Previous experience in working as a STEM trainer or coordinating STEM projects
Preferably 1-2 experience in working with the schools / NGO / Fieldwork
Experience in reporting, teacher training, monitoring and evaluation
Good English speaking & writing skills

Other Information:

Scope: Full time

Remuneration: 2 – 3 Lakhs p.a., based on the candidate’s experience

Reporting to: Manager – STP

Expected Joining Date: Immediate

Location: Chennai

Minimum commitment: Two years
