Summary of key functions:

• Field visits for the proper execution of different plans and schemes at the field level.

• Field visits for the implementation of field activities.

• Participation in any local program such as Kisan Mela and exhibition

• Need assessment and module formation of technical training programs for farmers.

• To plan and overview the plantation program of the horticulture crops

• To liaison with the resource person for the field visit and training programs in the project.

• To guide the village-level workers on the day-to-day operations on the field related to plant management and allied activities

• To provide expertise and guidance in the field of horticulture, which involves the cultivation, management, and study of plants. They are responsible for advising on plant selection, soil preparation, planting techniques, pest and disease control, irrigation methods, and overall plant care.

• Assistance to the project manager in various settings such as nurseries, orchards, landscaping, or agricultural research institutions.

Qualification:

• Graduate of postgraduate in any of the allied sectors of agriculture or allied subjects like Horticulture, Agronomy, Entomology, Plant Breeding, Soil Science, Agricultural Meteorology, animal husbandry, beekeeping and, Agricultural Engineering, Agricultural Extension Education.
• Minimum 5 years of work experience in the field of agriculture or allied sectors.
