As a Talent Acquisition Associate, you will scout and engage with top talent and build the best Tech/Research and Non-tech teams. Will work with leaders & key stakeholders, take ownership of requirements, create an outstanding candidate experience, and manage the hiring process in line with organizational culture.


The Wadhwani Institute for Artificial Intelligence (Wadhwani AI) is an independent nonprofit institute developing AI-based solutions for underserved communities in developing countries.

We work with over 40 partners including key government agencies, international development organizations, NGOs, and research organizations to identify real-world challenges, create and deploy innovative AI solutions to reach intended users and beneficiaries – with the objective of creating sustainable, scalable impact.

Our projects are supported by leading philanthropies such as the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, USAID, and Our accolades include winning the Google AI Impact Challenge (one among 20 out of 2600 competitors globally) as well as multiple awards at the 2021 Fast Company World Changing Ideas.

Our current portfolio of initiatives spans tuberculosis, maternal, newborn & child health, Covid-19 and cotton farming.


  • Partner with hiring managers to understand the hiring needs. Discuss and agree on the skill requirement & selection process.
  • Devise and carry out a targeted research strategy through research, market insights to enable talent decisions.
  • Conduct market mapping for critical positions, develop competitive intelligence on key talent in competitor companies
  • You will be responsible for the entire life-cycle of tech recruitment at Wadhwani AI, including strategy, sourcing, short-listing, pitching, communication, coordination, scheduling, and negotiation.
  • Responsible for ensuring process adherence and compliance.
  • Manage the selection process to ensure best candidate experience. 


  • 1 – 3 years of experience in recruitment (Research/ AI / ML and Tech hiring) working with Tech/Product companies/start-ups.
  • Good communication skills – written and spoken
  • Considerable experience with myriad sourcing strategies including portals, ads, consultants, social networking, conferences, headhunting, etc.
