Job Opportunity for Talent Manager, Sports Marketing at Roundglass in Punjab

You will be responsible for managing Athlete representation processes that include pitching for sponsorships, securing endorsements, amplifying social media influence & impact, managing brand associations & tie-ups and facilitating PR initiatives & interventions towards establishing a positive Athlete brand personality that resonates with RG Sports’ focus of supporting development of talent in football, field hockey and lawn tennis, underpinned by the principles of Wholistic Wellbeing.

What you’ll do:

• Enhance Athlete representation outcomes by leveraging stakeholder network and reviewing sports market trends; provide Athletes with high level networking opportunities to develop professional and social connections
• Create personalized brand-building strategy for Athletes that encapsulates their market positioning via relatable messaging and content; plan, organize and execute the marketing and promotional activities for the Athletes
• Deliver on monetary and non-monetary sponsorship targets for the Athletes and the sports franchise as per defined business goals
• Leverage Corporate marketing guidelines and collaborate with stakeholders in creative ideation, campaign scheduling and implementation aspects of marketing action plans for assigned Athletes
• Create and deliver personalized media relations plans for Athletes; engage with media outlets on positive story-telling about Athletes, and proactively mitigate risks in unfavorable situations
• Leverage marketing network to target Brands for sourcing, negotiating and acquiring sponsorship and endorsement deals for Athletes; ensure such partnerships are authentic, enjoyable and capable of achieving the best return on investment outcomes for both parties
• Manage, review and operate the contractual elements of the Athlete endorsement and sponsorship engagements in a manner, that furthers the strategic and operational objectives of the Sports organization

Who we’re looking for:

• Bachelor’s degree with advanced education in Sports Management / Marketing or a related program
• Significant and demonstrated experience in brand marketing and promotions of high-profile sports Athletes; knowledge of Indian and international sports ecosystem
• Proficient in negotiation techniques to manage the contractual and operational elements during Athlete sign-ups, sponsorships, endorsements and related processes
• High degree of emotional intelligence and interpersonal skills to manage high-profile athletic personalities; ability to proactively sense and resolve conflicts, and negotiate deals to create value for the business and its stakeholders
• Superior communication skills to influence a diverse set of internal and external stakeholders
• Demonstrated ability to adapt and navigate in an environment of ambiguity and fast paced changes
• An authentic passion to engage in long term value creation through a socio-commercial business venture in the emerging space of Wholistic Wellbeing
