The Apprentice Project (TAP) is a for-impact organization determined to transform Government/low-income schools by offering holistic development of all children. At TAP, we use choice-based learning (Visual arts, Performing arts, Financial Literacy or STEM) to develop leadership skills.
Role Summary
Location – Pune/Mumbai OR Remote (visit the city of placement once in a month).
Time Commitment – Full Time
Reporting to – Curriculum Manager
Compensation – 4.05 – 5.27 LPA (inclusive of EPF + Medical Insurance)
Key Job Areas
Programme Management
- Develop a variety of Visual Arts activity videos suitable for students, with a focus on creativity, fun, and educational value
- Ensure that all program videos and content are in line with the organization’s mission of fostering socio-emotional skills in students
- Collaborate closely with the Operations team to oversee the successful implementation of the Visual Arts curriculum
- Foster a culture of creative thinking and innovation within the Visual Arts program
- Inspire students through self-learning videos to try out fresh artistic methods for an engaging learning environment
Stakeholder Management
- Problem-solve issues that schools might face in implementing programs
- Work with other relevant teams to address and resolve issues, offering valuable guidance and effective solutions
Curriculum Management
- Research, identify and curate up-to-date, relevant and high-quality content for Visual arts from across the world
- Contextualize researched content for TAP’s program to suit the Indian context
- Organize the curriculum into well-constructed videos that follow industry best practices around pedagogy & behavior management and are easily implementable for TAP classes
- Assist Manager in curriculum documentation, content updation, effective dissemination across all TAP stakeholders
Monitoring & Evaluation
- Develop and maintain rubrics that align with learning objectives and outcomes, ensuring clear assessment criteria, fairness, and continuous improvement in the evaluation of student submissions
- Review and assess all visual arts submissions as per the designed rubrics
- Use evaluation data to identify trends and areas where the visual arts curriculum may need adjustments or improvements, and modify the pedagogy and curriculum accordingly
- Conduct detailed qualitative and quantitative analysis on the Visual arts outputs and outcomes and present them to the team on a quarterly basis
Time Management
- Manage your workload effectively to meet deadlines for content creation and delivery
- Adapt to changes and adjustments in the curriculum as needed
Materials and Resources
- Identify and list the required materials and resources for each project, making them easily accessible to students
- Provide alternative materials or options for students who may have limited resources or access
Qualifications & Experience
- Graduate/Postgraduate in any field with an interest in the Visual arts
- 0 to 2 years of relevant full-time work experience in one or more relevant fields/fellowships
- Willingness to learn about the workings of relevant verticals
- Experience in the field of Visual arts or a detailed understanding of how these verticals operate will be beneficial
- Experience of working with children and varied teams in any capacity (full time/volunteering) will add value to the candidature
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic team environment
Skills
