PROJECT DETAILS

 Design Center is an establishment by CARE India in collaboration with the Indian Institute of Information Technology, Hyderabad (IIIT-Hyderabad). The Design Center’s goal is to leverage digitization for deepening CARE India’s programmatic impact by developing replicable and scalable digital solutions that can be implemented by CARE globally. 

Design Center will closely work with IIIT-Hyderabad over three years to integrate problem areas identified by CARE India and incubate them in the centre to get solved and productized into advanced technology-based solutions that will be implemented and scaled across domestic and international geographies.

JOB SUMMARY

• S/he who creates and maintain of technical documentation under the direction of subject matter experts. This documentation includes Design Specifications, Requirements Specifications, Test Cases, Scenarios, Use Cases etc.,
• Ensuring that all documentation related policies and procedures are followed during the creation and maintenance of the documents
• S/he who has ability to visualize and create mockups and support in converting into products/platforms

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The incumbent will be responsible to:

• Creates product documentation and API documentation (both written and audio/video) by complying with CARE standards, style guides, and schedules
• Creates, formats, edits, reviews, and proofreads technical information including user guide, tutorial guide in the Confluence
• Participates in discussions with product team and subject matter experts to design effective product documentation of new features, APIs, and workflows
• Reviews all documentation for its contents, technical accuracy, and style
• Conducts research on new tools and techniques related to technical and functional documentation

KEY RELATIONSHIPS

Tech Documentation Specialist will report to Head Digital Platforms. S/he will collaborate with the other team members of the team.

QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCE

Essential:

• Capacity to develop user-centric documentation ensuring a high level of quality, consistency, usability, and accuracy
• Ability to simultaneously work on different documentation modules and software products in a fast-paced deadline-driven, geographically diverse environment
• Ability to take initiatives, gather and analyze technical and product information from various sources, paying close attention to details
• Fluency in English, along with excellent written and spoken communication skills
• Bachelor’s / Master’s degree in computer science engineering or a related discipline, or equivalent work experience required

• Practical experience generating process documentation and reports
• Excellent communicator with the ability to translate data into actionable insights
• Agile Experience: Should be able to understand Scrum ceremonies and able to demonstrate experience in Agile

• Very high learning agility; aptitude and speed of learning new and variety of subjects; ability to learn fast and in smart ways; versatility in interest areas
