**Job Description: Technical Consultant – Aparajita | J-PAL South Asia**
**Location:** India (New Delhi)
**Start Date:** June 30, 2025 – August 1, 2025
**Duration:** June 2025 – May 2027
**About the Role:**
J-PAL South Asia seeks a Technical Consultant to support its collaboration with Aparajita, an NGO dedicated to preventing sexual harassment through education, advocacy, and systemic change. The role involves managing project activities, including program management, communications strategy development, grant tracking, identifying innovations, organizing events, conducting research, coordinating survey results, and fundraising.
**Key Responsibilities:**
– **Program Management:** Oversee timely and high-quality completion of all collaboration activities between J-PAL South Asia and Aparajita. Develop pitch decks, update materials, and reports for Aparajita leadership.
– **Communications Strategy:** Develop strategies to engage experts and stakeholders through roundtables, newsletters, events, and knowledge products.
– **Grant and Financial Management:** Track project finances, spending, and modifications.
– **Identifying Innovations:** Manage an open funding call, set up reporting systems, conduct coaching calls with awardees, and support randomized evaluations.
– **Landscaping the Problem:** Organize roundtables and events to engage experts across relevant fields. Conduct desk research for program development.
– **Measuring Prevalence:** Assist in completing a 3-city survey on sexual harassment and violence, organize result-sharing sessions, and coordinate with Aparajita.
– **Fundraising:** Develop materials and strategies to secure additional funding.
**Desired Qualifications:**
– **Education:** Master’s degree in international development, public policy, or gender studies.
– **Experience:** 8-10 years of professional experience managing external stakeholders, with knowledge of gender-based violence issues in India.
– **Skills:** Excellent communication skills, strategic thinking, adaptability, grant management experience, understanding of randomized evaluations, and fluency in English.
