Role Overview: 

We are looking for an experienced Technical Project Manager to join our team. As a Technical Project Manager, you will play a pivotal role in steering the successful completion of various development projects.

Key Responsibilities:

• Project Management: Lead day-to-day project management activities, including sprint planning and standups, to ensure project timelines and deliverables are met. Collaborate closely with our team of external agency and freelance developers to ensure the seamless progression of projects from initiation to closure. Work with the product managers to understand product scope and user journeys and ensure development aligns with product requirements. Use problem-solving and troubleshooting skills to ensure projects are executed optimally.
• Staffing: Oversee staffing, which includes hiring and separation. Ensure the team is equipped with the right talent, adopting the right hiring strategy. This encompasses consultants, freelancers, and full-time engineers. Help set and evaluate KPIs for engineers to ensure the team meets its objectives and delivers high-quality work.
• Communication: Report directly to the executive team on the status of projects, ensuring they align with the organization’s goals and objectives.
• Documentation Management: Assist in managing documentation across engineering projects, ensuring efficiency in project execution and adherence to the organization’s open-source strategy.
• Budget Management: Manage the budget for the engineering teams, ensuring that resources are allocated effectively and efficiently.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• Experience and understanding of patterns of backend development, web and mobile application development, and cloud infrastructure (check out our tech stack here).
• At least one year of experience managing remote teams within an Agile framework.
• Ability to adapt to a fast-paced, changing environment. You may be managing development across three or more products simultaneously.
• Detail-oriented with an analytical approach to problem-solving.
• Sound understanding of technology development.
• Exceptional leadership and communication skills, with the capability to motivate and manage dispersed teams.
• Strong financial acumen, experienced in budget management.
