About Indus Action:
Indus Action is a ‘’do-tank’’ to bridge the gap between law and action with social justice at the center of our mission. Indus Action works towards securing a social protection safety net for vulnerable families by providing sustainable access to a portfolio of welfare entitlements and rights (POWER). Our approach tackles multiple deprivations experienced by vulnerable families. It provides educational access to children, maternity entitlements to pregnant and lactating mothers, income and social security support to parents and senior citizens and universal healthcare to all family members to irreversibly move vulnerable families out of poverty.
Our teams are located in Delhi, Uttarakhand, Haryana, Uttar Pradesh, West Bengal, Orissa, Chhattisgarh and Tamil Nadu

Requirements
Position Summary:
Principal duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:
The TPM will act as a tech SPOC for different zones (logical grouping of different states with which Indus Action works). TPM will be responsible for managing the delivery of different technical projects specific to a zone or a state.
The individual will also be expected to abide by the org non-negotiable which include attending team calls, filing weekly reflections, and supporting an individual family to move out of poverty. We are looking for individuals whose actions are in line with our operating principles of Listen, Act, and Change. We want individuals who keep the mission at the center of their work. We are looking for individuals who see development as a team sport and constantly work with a growth mindset to improve themselves and others on the team.
Role and Responsibilities (including KRAs):
- Manage and oversee different technical projects from time, scope, budget, and risk perspective
- Create project plans and track deliverables
- Set up or improvise the MIS system and use technology to ensure smooth implementation of the policy
- Implement new projects (software/ portal) as per requirement and create plans to be able to maintain the existing applications.
- Assign and oversee the daily tasks of technical personnel while ensuring the team members are actively working toward established milestones.
- Hold regular technical team meetings to determine progress and address any questions or challenges regarding projects.
- Determine and define clear deliverables, roles, and responsibilities for team members required for specific projects or initiatives.
- Visit different states as and when required for support
- Prepare and present progress reports for senior management and other stakeholders
- Identify the resources needed for the project and work with different departments for hiring
- Manager a team of developers, carry out regular check ins and manage their career progression
- As an individual coordinator – take up some technical tasks for delivery and completion

Serving as manager, mentor, and coach to all staff. This includes managing the lead and developers above in their regular activities. Managing the team performance and compliance with the organization’s non-negotiable. Share learning opportunities and enable learning opportunities with the team members to make learning and development a team sport. This would also include hiring new developers, engineers or product managers or working with vendors and consultants. Developing and maintaining relationships with stakeholders in the Tech domain, maintaining partnerships with organizations like Tech For Good, and establishing relations with innovators in the domain.
Creating an inspiring team environment with an open communication culture
Knowledge and Technical Skills:
The applicant must be a graduate (BE in CS or IT) with at least 6-8 years of work experience preferably in the social sector, with at least 1+ years of project management and end-to-end delivery experience
- Excellent leadership abilities, interpersonal and communications skills
- Attention to detail with the ability to problem-solve under pressure
- Individual who is a go-getter and who can strategize and implement large-scale programs
- Listen with a design thinking mindset for data collection opportunities
- Act with a sense of urgency for access to the rights of disadvantaged
- Candidates who have partnered with the government and built relations to drive large-scale projects for 1+ year shall be preferred
- Should be well versed with principles of designing thinking, planning and execution, budget management, quality control, and monitoring and evaluation
- Capable of understanding technology used to set up MIS systems and envisioning the scope that technology can play to make the implementation smoother
- A strong local understanding – of language, culture, terrain
- Experience in working with technologies such as HTML, PHP, ASP.Net, MVC, Java Script, jQuery, SQL SERVER 2012, and RESTful web API

Benefits
Compensation:
The position of ‘Technical Project Manager, Technology’ will be compensated based on the Indus Action ‘s compensation bench marking rubric. The range of compensation will be between 9-14LPA depending on qualifications, experience and fit to the role.
The candidate would need to use his/her own laptop and the organization will bear the annual maintenance cost up to 12000 per year as per actuals.
