**Job Description:**

The Technical Project Manager (TPM) will serve as the technical point of contact for various zones (groups of states) where Indus Action operates.  Responsibilities include managing the delivery of technical projects, adhering to organizational non-negotiables (team calls, weekly reflections, and supporting a family’s transition out of poverty), and aligning actions with the organization’s operating principles (Listen, Act, Change).

**Key Responsibilities:**

* Manage and oversee technical projects across time, scope, budget, and risk.

* Create project plans and track deliverables.

* Develop and maintain the MIS system, leveraging technology for efficient policy implementation.

* Implement new software/portals and create maintenance plans for existing applications.

* Assign and oversee daily tasks for technical personnel, ensuring progress toward milestones.

* Conduct regular team meetings to track progress and address challenges.

* Define clear deliverables, roles, and responsibilities for team members.

* Prepare and present progress reports to senior management and stakeholders.

* Collaborate closely with the zonal operational team.

* Manage a team of developers, conducting regular check-ins and managing career progression.

* Serve as manager, mentor, and coach for the technology team, including managing performance, compliance, and learning & development.

* Recruit new developers, engineers, or product managers, or work with vendors and consultants.

* Build and maintain relationships with stakeholders in the tech domain, including partnerships with organizations like Tech For Good.

* Foster an inspiring team environment with open communication.

* Handle some technical tasks for delivery and completion.

**Requirements:**

* **Education:** Graduate (BE in CS or IT)

* **Experience:** 6-8 years of work experience, preferably in the social sector, with at least 1+ year of project management and end-to-end delivery experience.  Experience partnering with the government to drive large-scale projects (1+ year) is preferred.

* **Technical Skills:**  Experience with HTML, PHP, ASP.Net, MVC, JavaScript, jQuery, SQL SERVER 2012, and RESTful web APIs.

* **Language Skills:** Strong understanding of Hindi language, culture, and local terrain preferred.

* **Soft Skills:** Excellent leadership, interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills; attention to detail; problem-solving abilities; strategic thinking and implementation skills.
