**Job Description:**  

Swaniti Initiative is seeking an Associate to contribute to the Andhra Pradesh (AP) government’s renewable energy (RE) transition goals. This role involves providing technical support, designing affordable RE solutions for DISCOMs, analyzing consumer data, conducting literature reviews, and collaborating with stakeholders. The position requires a strong understanding of decentralized renewable energy (DRE) systems, such as rooftop solar and microgrids, and familiarity with renewable energy policy frameworks.

**Key Responsibilities:**  

1. **Technical Support & Analysis:**  

   – Conduct technical analysis to design financially sustainable RE solutions for AP DISCOMs.  

   – Provide expert input on integrating RE solutions to enhance DISCOM financial health and ensure affordable electricity access.  

 

2. **Consumer Data Analysis & Policy Research:**  

   – Analyze consumer data to identify subsidized demographics and energy consumption patterns.  

   – Collaborate with DISCOMs to integrate consumer insights into energy solution design.  

   – Conduct literature reviews on successful DRE models and policy frameworks from other regions.  

 

3. **Stakeholder Coordination:**  

   – Serve as the primary point of contact, facilitating communication between Swaniti, government departments, DISCOMs, and external partners.  

 

4. **Reporting & Documentation:**  

   – Develop case studies and reports on project progress and outcomes.  

   – Support monitoring and evaluation to assess project impact on energy access and DISCOM operations.

**Educational Qualifications:**  

– Master’s degree in Energy, Environmental Science, Renewable Energy Engineering, or a related field.  

– Additional certifications in renewable energy, energy policy, or sustainable development are advantageous.

**Experience Required:**  

– 3-5 years of experience in the renewable energy sector, with a focus on decentralized energy solutions, energy policy, or systems integration.  

– Experience working with government bodies, DISCOMs, or energy utilities is highly desirable.  

– Familiarity with technical, financial, and regulatory aspects of renewable energy transitions.
