**Job Description: Senior Project Manager – RMEAL**

The Research, Monitoring, Evaluation, Assessment, and Learning (RMEAL) team at CSF works to generate evidence to strengthen education programs and policies. The team collaborates with renowned experts and partners to advance systemic impact in India’s education sector.

 

 

### **Position Summary**  

The Senior Project Manager will play a critical role in operationalizing the RMEAL strategy, focusing on the Edtech and School Governance portfolios, as well as contributing to Foundational Literacy and Numeracy (FLN) initiatives. The role involves managing projects independently, designing research frameworks, conducting evaluations, and analyzing data to drive actionable insights.

 

 

### **Key Responsibilities**  

1. **Research, Monitoring & Evaluation:**  

   – Design appropriate research methodologies (quantitative, qualitative, process, and action research).  

   – Develop monitoring frameworks, tools, and processes for CSF verticals, partners, and government bodies.  

 

2. **Evaluation Activities:**  

   – Execute rigorous quantitative and qualitative evaluations to assess program impact on student learning outcomes.  

   – Design Theories of Change, develop data collection tools, manage data collection processes, and conduct mixed-methods analysis.  

 

3. **Data Analysis & Synthesis:**  

   – Perform quantitative and qualitative data analysis, secondary research, and report writing.  

 

4. **Project Management:**  

   – Manage all aspects of projects independently with light supervision.  

   – Influence internal and external stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery.  

 

5. **Technical Skills:**  

   – Utilize Stata or R for data analysis.  

   – Proficiency in Microsoft and Google Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Sheets, Slides).  

 

6. **Policy & Experience:**  

   – Understand education policy-making and related studies in India.  

   – Apply experimental and quasi-experimental research designs (e.g., RCTs, Difference-in-Difference).  

 

7. **Qualitative Expertise (Desired):**  

   – Knowledge of qualitative methodologies (thematic coding) and educational assessments (psychometrics/Item Response Theory).  

   – Familiarity with data collection software (SurveyCTO, Tangerine) and qualitative tools (NVivo, Dedoose).  

 

8. **Other Skills:**  

   – Strong communication and influencing skills to translate technical insights into actionable steps.  

   – Willingness to adapt to dynamic work environments and travel as needed.  

 

 

### **Skills and Qualifications**  

– Bachelor’s degree in economics, public/education policy, or a related field with coursework in quantitative methods (Master’s preferred).  

– 4-6 years of experience in M&E, public policy research, or development consulting.  

– Strong technical skills in quantitative research methods and data analysis.  

– Experience working with Stata or R is required.  

– Excellent project delivery, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills.  

 

 

### **Compensation**  

Remuneration will be competitive and aligned with Indian philanthropy pay scales, based on experience.
