About the Program
The Youth program’s objective is to provide a holistic development platform for young people as well as provide a lifelong, continuous learning opportunity to disadvantaged youth. We use content, pedagogy and technology, to drive the delivery of teaching and learning. Through our signature blended learning approach we develop critical life-work skills that are critical for success in the 21st century. Our curriculum includes media elements like games, videos, audio, and visuals as well as the use of dictionaries for vernacular translations.
Capacity Building @Youth Program
The Youth Program at Quest Alliance is a program focussed on building youth employability through the use of educational technology to foster self learning and 21st century skills. This role is a part of the Capacity Building (CB) team of the Youth Program. Capacity Building is a multidisciplinary team that works at the intersection of training, content development, research and technology for the education and employability sector. The goal of the CB team is to create engaging learning experiences across the spectrum of our stakeholders – Youth, Educators, Leaders & Parents. As a team, CB is continuously working on new innovations using learner-centric design, adult learning principles, blended learning approach to make our learning experience truly facilitative and self learning focussed.
About the Role
Be part of the Capacity Building team as a Single Point of Contact (SPOC) for the regional team. The SPOC is responsible to support the implementation of the Western Regional strategy on training, curriculum uptake, blended learning design and innovative teaching-learning experiences. Additionally, they will also need to track the program outcomes and impact metrics.
Roles and Responsibilities
Co-design and co-deliver all the capacity building needs of the Regional Team
- Work closely with the Regional Team to understand their capacity building needs for training, content, and post-training implementation for external stakeholders (QA Govt partners, Knowledge partners)
- Support the planning of TOTs (Training of Trainers) for external stakeholders in North Region (includes logistics, operations, data hygiene and experience management of TOTs)
- Co-design the training agenda, whenever required, for TOTs in region
- Build the Trainer Recognition strategy and implementation plan for the region
- Support in designing the Learner, Trainer, Master Trainer, Leader and Placement Officer journey map as per regional needs
- Maintain the training calendar for region
- Identify the curriculum needs in the region, such as translation, simplification, contextualization of the legacy content
- Support the Ed Tech team to curate content as per programmatic needs
Identify and support in the capacity building of super-facilitators in the Region
- Support the capacity building of super-facilitators in the region through:
- TOT Observation
- Data-driven feedback loops
- Regular capacity building workshops
- Creating learning and recognition opportunities
- Facilitate cross-learning and best practice share out across regions
- Codesign the journey map of super-facilitators in the region
- Role model the skills of a Super-facilitator through active demo sessions, actionable as per the super-facilitator milestones
Support in upholding the quality and impact goals of the region, as per the joint strategy of CB and the region
- Co-own the implementation strategy of the region
- Provide problem solving support to the regional teams, to strengthen their implementation strategies
- Collect and analyze data and derive insights to iterate strategies that will achieve desired outcomes
Requirements
Professional Skills:
- Minimum 3 years of work experience, in program management, facilitation, design and delivery of workshops
- Ability to train, build capacity of, and manage relationships with partner NGOs
- Strong experience in training groups of seasoned educators and management level leaders within a workshop format.
- Project Management skills to ensure a robust work plan in place for the region and everyone is able to contribute and implement accordingly.
- High degree of comfort in reading and interpreting data along with proficiency in using Excel for data analysis.
Personal Attributes:
- Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills in English, Hindi
- Willingness to learn and influence prevalent practices in education ecosystem and an enthusiasm for technology as an enabler for learning is critical.
- Willingness to travel extensively within the specific geography
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with other teams
- Ability to liaison between different stakeholders internally and externally, to ensure program efficiency.
