The training & placement officer will be handling the recruitment and placement of the youth and will be responsible for developing a strong partnership with companies, industries, and consultancies to place the youth trained in the Bhumi’s Skill-Ed programme.

Roles and Responsibilities:

Ensure 70% of the students who get enrolled in the Skill-Ed are placed
Creating a strong partnership database with Companies, Factories, Industries, Placement Agencies, and Consultants to get regular updates on the openings and mapping students according to their skills sets and requirements
To have close liaison with Companies, Factories, Industries, Placement Agencies, and Consultants for the placement of youth
Schedule and follow up on student interviews with prospective employers
Ensure job opportunities are posted to students and followed up regularly, thereby assisting in publicizing the placement opportunities
Co-ordinate soft skills and job readiness training for the students collaborating with the internal teams, experts, and volunteers
Participate in the various assessment processes with the trainers to evaluate the student fit/potential placements
Help students identify employment options that match their career interests. Assist students in all aspects of the job search, including resume writing, interviewing techniques, and job referrals
Collaborate with the Skill-Ed Team and propose additions /modifications to the content/modules based on the industry standards and current trends in the recruitment
Counsel students frequently to ensure their expectations and skills level match the jobs available in the market
Support with the mobilization of youth for Skill-Ed projects by organizing institutions and community visits/connects online, seminars, and campaigns

Requirements

Preferred Education Qualification / Experience:

Graduation / Post-Graduation
Preferably 3-5 years of experience in working with top institutions, colleges, or companies as a placement officer
Good English speaking & writing skills

Scope: Full time

Remuneration: 4 – 5 Lakhs p.a., based on the candidate

Reporting to: Manager – Skill-Ed

Expected Joining Date: Immediate

Location: Chennai

Minimum commitment: Two years
