**Description:**
The World Bank seeks an Extended Term (ET) Consultant – Transport Specialist to support transport projects in India. The role involves technical and operational engagements under the South Asia Transport Program, focusing on areas such as rail transport, logistics, urban mobility, and climate resilience.
**Key Responsibilities:**
– Support project preparation and implementation across various transport subsectors.
– Conduct analytical studies and provide technical advice to government counterparts.
– Engage in policy dialogues and contribute to new sector initiatives.
– Stay updated with global transport developments and best practices.
**Selection Criteria:**
– Postgraduate degree in transport planning, logistics, economics, or related fields.
– Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in transport sectors, including rail transport, logistics, urban rail/mass transit, and electric mobility.
– Strong analytical skills, particularly in economic and financial analysis.
– Proven ability to work in multi-disciplinary teams and communicate effectively.
