Primary Responsibilities and Duties:
- Driving responsibility ensuring security and safety.
- Keeping the vehicle clean and neat always, involving routine cleaning of vehicle.
- Carry out daily fitness checks on the vehicle.
- Ensure timely maintenance and servicing of the vehicle.
- Maintain essential documents and logbook of the vehicle.
- Ensure that clean drinking water and water for hand washing is available for staff all the time.
- Manage the crowd at treatment site and request the caller and bystanders to extend cooperation for carrying out clinical procedure without any hindrance.
- Take photographs and videos of important clinical cases and community engagement activities, compile them every week and share with the supervisor.
- Help the veterinary assistants in routine clinical work and community engagement activities.
- Assist the veterinarian on routine clinical work like humane handling, restraining of animals, and preparation of drugs, instruments and equipment for clinical procedure.
Qualifications: - Diploma or certificate course in minor veterinary practices
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as Veterinary Assistant
- Basic knowledge of community development work
- Understanding of applied animal behaviour and welfare
- Compassion for animals
- Fluency in Hindi
- Knowledge of other local Indian languages a plus
- Exceptional organisational and time-management skills, including multi-tasking
- Ability to represent the organisation to the public in a professional manner
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
- Ability and willingness to travel and work during night-time hours
- Professional appearance and adherence to a vegan lifestyle
- Commitment to the objectives of the organisation
