Role and expectations from the role:

The Web Master will be the techno-functional owner and single point of contact for technical and content management and troubleshooting for the organization’s websites which include a) the Azim Premji University website and the Azim Premji Foundation website.

Will work closely with the website editorial teams, the IT team and the website support partner to manage and maintain the technical, content and performance integrity of the organization’s websites. Will own and deliver website optimizations, including managing SEO, gathering and reporting website analytics and continuously improving the websites’ user experience.

Will interface with internal and external stakeholders and partners on a regular basis to understand evolving requirements and collaboratively develop, recommend and implement agreed solutions.

The Web Master is expected to be meticulous with attention to detail, have outstanding problem solving skills, project management skills and communication skills. Hands-on experience in developing content and information heavy websites, a good understanding of current web technologies, content management systems, UI and UX are critical to this this role. Familiarity and experience working with visual design tools such as Photoshop, Figma etc. will be an added advantage.

The ideal candidate will have enthusiasm to learn on-the-job, willingness to pick up new technical and functional skills and proven ability to integrate with diverse teams.

Experience & Qualifications:

• A degree or diploma in computer science, or Web Development and Web Design. Proficient with front end technologies – HTML, CSS, Java Script, Node JS and Angular JS. Strong conceptual knowledge of back-end technologies and databases.
• 3-5 years of work experience in web development, preferably on large content websites.
• Good working knowledge of Adobe Photoshop – ability to perform simple image editing tasks.
  proficiency working with design and wireframing tools such as Figma.
• Good working knowledge of website hosting, website security management and performance optimization.
