Job Opportunity for Zonal Head – Academic Coordination at Prayoga in Bengaluru

To ensure smooth transformation of Schools to adopt experiential learning of science by mentoring and supporting Academic Co-ordinators and working with Principal and Management by removing any obstacles that will otherwise impair the transformation of schools.

Position is across all districts of Karnataka.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead, coach and provide guidance and mentoring support to a team of Academic Coordinators towards proper execution of responsibilities in deployment of experiential learning across schools
• Monitor to ensure timely and effective implementation of classroom teaching of science in partnership with schools as per the directions from Prayoga.
• Periodically observe classes and provide constructive feedback to teachers.
• Be informed of the vision, mission, content, research and implementation aspects of our programme.
• To be available at all times for all the activities and tasks assigned by Prayoga.
• Monitor implementation of Prayoga programs and develop recommendations for program improvement and implementation based on understanding of the ground reality.
• Build amicable-professional relationships with all educational stakeholders (including school staff, teachers, principals, administrators, local leaders, policy makers, teacher associations, DDPI/ BEOs/BRC/ BRP/ CRPs, to promote programs of Prayoga.
• Be abreast with and share about the educational trends, best practices, in their region.
• Collaborate with other departments within the organization to understand research findings and how they are integrated into program design and implementation.
• Be able to communicate research findings and recommendations to key stakeholders as per the requirement of the research team.
• Provide orientation to teachers and other stakeholders when required.
• Organize teacher empowerment and the Prerana programs in their zone with guidance and support from Prayoga.
• Be aware about other programs being executed in their regions by other institutions and assess its impact on the programs run by Prayoga

Qualifications:

• A master’s degree in Science and masters or bachelors degree in Education. M.Ed Preferred
• Strong background in education research and a sound understanding of education system
• Demonstrate abilities of leadership with organizational, analytical, planning, people management and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills both in kannada and english.
• Proficiency in using computers. Knowledge of google office and educational tools is preferred.
• Readiness to work as part of a team and independently
• Individuals having good knowledge of working with local education authorities are preferable.
• Willingness to travel
