At Udhyam Learning Foundation (Udhyam), Our vision is to “Co-create a caring world, where people fearlessly pursue their potential.” Udhyam Shiksha, works on developing entrepreneurial mindsets amongst youth, and has partnered with 9 state governments for designing and implementing programs for schools, ITIs and degree colleges.

About EMC:

Entrepreneurship Mindset Curriculum (EMC) is a flagship program of the Delhi state government, co-designed by Udhyam along with SCERT Delhi. EMC aims to empower students to take charge of their career paths in employment of entrepreneurship) and realize their full potential. EMC is a completely experiential curriculum, and it has a number of components including daily classes to build entrepreneurial mindsets, interactions with entrepreneurs and real-life business projects. The curriculum was launched in 2019 in the 1000+ schools of Delhi State Government. It has a reach of 8 lakh+ students from classes 9 to 12, and is facilitated and supported by approximately. 21,000 teachers.

We are scaling up an exciting model to enable students to try their hands at entrepreneurship where the students get seed money to develop a business idea into reality. Over the course of this program, the students work in teams, get inputs for coming up with ideas and receive requisite support to develop an idea into a viable business. The businesses also get assessed and the teams can advance to unlock mentorship and more resources.

A number of interventions, offline and online, have been launched in the last 3 years to implement the curriculum effectively during the pandemic and beyond to increase its reach and impact. We are looking for a Program Associate/Owner  for Operations who will be a part of the Delhi team, and work closely with the government partners to maximize reach and impact of the program.

Roles and responsibilities:

  • Stakeholder Management: Work with multiple stakeholders, including SCERT officials, DoE (Directorate of Education) officials, Education Minister’s office, Partner organizations, Mentor teachers, School Principals and Teachers
  • Program Management: Set program goals and prepare program budget, define and evolve ownership areas of team members, regularly review progress and strategy to improve effectiveness of implementation
  • Implementation Planning: Design and operationalize programs and projects that come under EMC’s umbrella, such as Field Project (Value Creation Project), Live Entrepreneur Interaction, teacher trainings, third party assessments/research
  • Data Management: Create structures and own entire data driven decision making, to collect implementation data, conduct analysis and take data based decisions

Skills and Requirements:

  • People skills – 3+ years of experience working collaboratively with govt stakeholders, preferably on large scale education programs
  • Bias for action – Hands on with operations: willing to pilot and experiment with different strategies & interact with students and various stakeholders
  • Strategic thinking and planning – Should be able to convert an idea into a plan implementable at a large scale
  • Comfortable working in a fast paced and ambiguous environment
  • Excellent communication skills in Hindi and English

Type of Role: Fixed Term Contract – 1 year
