Position Overview
The Admin cum Accounting Associate position will assist Senior Literacy Program Officer in district level in carrying out all administrative and accounts related initiatives.  The position will provide general help as and when required by members of Room to Read Bangladesh. This position will assist and report to the Senior Literacy Program Officer.  Primary responsibilities include assisting in maintaining all aspects of the organization’s accounts and administrative initiatives.  The position will have regular interactions with all staff and it is based in Narail.

 

Duties & Responsibilities
Book-keeping of financial transactions in field office
Accounting and financial documentation, reporting and forecasting
Petty cash management
Supporting statutory and internal audits
Field level procurement, warehousing, inventory management and distribution
Maintenance of field office
Local level transport coordination
Field level event management
Banking transaction for Program and Indirect
VAT & TAX submission to Bank
Documentation and reporting related to administration
Other tasks, as required.
 
Qualification
Required
Bachelor’s degree in commerce/business administration (Masters preferred)
Minimum 2-3 years of experience of working in accounting and/or administrative position;
Experience of working with NGO is preferred
Good interpersonal skills and a team player
Relevant computer-operating skills and relevant software
Strong verbal and written communication skills in English
 
General Requirements
Willingness & ability to visit program sites extensively;
Skill & experience of working with e-communication & people with diverse culture;
Strong communication skills in Bangla and English ;
Excellent computer operating skill,
Ability to work under pressure,
Comfortable in a performance-based organization working with low overhead budget;
Proven track record of achieving results;
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
