Job Opportunity for Research Analyst – China Studies at Takshashila Institution

The Takshashila Institution is currently seeking Research Analysts to work on China’s People Liberation Army (PLA) under our Indo-Pacific Studies Programme. 

Responsibilities: 

• The role primarily involves different aspects of the PLA’s modernisation effort
• Creating analytical frameworks assessing developments related to the Chinese armed forces and their impact on Indian security interests
• Drafting written materials, including reports, policy briefs, blog posts, fact sheets, and op-eds
• Working with the Media and Outreach team to disseminate research publications and findings
• Engaging with external stakeholders, including policy makers, as necessary  

Eligibility:

• A good understanding of the Chinese political system
• Familiarity with Chinese government publications and media ecosystem
• Proficiency in Chinese language preferred
• Strong analytical skills
• A postgraduate degree in International Relations, Strategic Studies or a related field
• Ability to communicate clearly and effectively, particularly in writing
• Ability to multitask on projects
• Strong interpersonal and analytical skills
