Overview: 

Dasra is looking for an impact-driven individual with 8+ years of experience for the role of Manager – Fundraising and Funder Management for the 10to19: Dasra Adolescents Collaborative.

In this role, you will lead and build relationships with the 10to19: Dasra Adolescents Collaborative’s key philanthropic partners. You will provide oversight and execution support to a team delivering on various Indian and global donor engagements, reporting, and accounts for a pooled fund of over USD 15M. You will also support senior leadership in forging new funding partnerships and relationships for the coming 5-year phase of the 10to19: Dasra Adolescents Collaborative. This is a full-time role.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Build robust strategic, funder-specific plans for the 10to19: Dasra Adolescents Collaborative’s pool of global and Indian funders, creating alignment between the funder’s long-term vision and opportunities within the adolescent space
  • In a supervisory role, with an in-depth understanding of the adolescent-focused funder landscape, oversee end-to-end funder engagement processes including creating partnership objectives, scope of work, success indicators, budgets, reports and more, in line with funder interests to secure new funding
  • Work closely with senior leadership, both within Dasra and the sector, to generate and communicate 10to19’s unique value propositions, along with an understanding of the funder’s core needs and priorities 
  • Translate and apply key funder/philanthropy trends and insights towards team learning, project strategies, multi-stakeholder communications materials and opportunities 
  • Nurture and deepen existing relationships and build new relationships with key local and global funders who are influential in the space of adolescent wellbeing and empowerment
  • Translate complex ideas and trends into compelling narratives to support fund mobilization and championship towards 10to19’s four outcomes, approaches and theory of change 
  • Contribute to team- and organization-level management and growth activities such as team management, staffing, hiring, reporting, team culture and engagement, financial planning, and compliance 
  • Build, facilitate, and manage relationships with non-profits and knowledge partners, to support better funder learning and engagement 
  • Support a peer-group through ideation, brainstorming, strategic planning, risk assessment, prioritization and problem-solving, related to projects undertaken by 10to19 

Desired Skills & Experience:

  • For this role, we require a minimum of 8 years of experience with a focus on consulting, fundraising, knowledge management and multi-stakeholder engagement.
  • Written & Communication skills: Independently connects complex ideas to the foresight and demonstrates strong story-telling ability in written/verbal presentation style
  • Project Management: Independently defines project scope and workplans and manages project with the team and with clients and other relevant stakeholders, while establishing a strong link between people, ideas, and information throughout the project
  • Research & Data Analytics:  Shapes the strategic direction of the fundraising efforts by leveraging several internal and external insights and data results
  • Fundraising: Has prior experience managing and supporting the development of new funder relationships and opportunities for impact-oriented funding
  • Relationship Management: Experience handling multistakeholder initiatives and proactively identifying, developing, and nurturing new, multipronged relationships. Has independently deepened existing relationships over time, while shaping creative opportunities to strategically influence change within the sector
  • People Management & Growth: Strong commitment to team-building and the ability to develop and nurture talent to deliver excellent results
  • Leadership Mindset: Entrepreneurial attitude with a willingness and ability to build systems and processes, work independently, bring structure, as well as think and act creatively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Financial Management: Experience handling robust budgets and creating effective financial models.

The 10to19: Dasra Adolescents Collaborative is a multi-stakeholder platform that pioneers an India-focused collaborative approach. We engage government, private philanthropy and community partners, to move the needle on child marriage, teenage pregnancy, completing high school and employability. In doing so, we aim to create an enabling environment for adolescents to access programs, resources and opportunities which will help them realize their full potential. We currently bring together 280+ nonprofits (NGOs), central and state governments, nearly 20 global and Indian funders, groups of technical experts and adolescents themselves to create system-level change.
