BACKGROUND
The Hans Foundation, established in 2009, is a Public Charitable Trust that that works for the improvement of quality of life for underprivileged communities across India through Health, Education, Livelihood and Disability sector interventions. THF undertakes direct implementation of projects on the ground in addition to providing funding support to not-for-profit organisations in India through its donor – RIST, USA. THF’s Strategic planning focuses on key areas of its work with the aim of addressing the key issues of poverty alleviation, economic inequalities, and 360° impact on the quality of life through social development programs. THF’s programs are majorly implemented in the most rural and under-developed areas in the country. Over the years, THF has expanded its charitable activities in collaboration with State and Central Governments, institutions, corporates, academia and non-government organizations for sustainable interventions to achieve scale and economy. The interventions implemented by the foundation range from grass root level to national level programs.

JOB PURPOSE
The Assistant Manager – IT is responsible for assisting the IT Manager in overseeing The Hans Foundation information technology systems and infrastructure. This role involves providing technical support, managing IT projects, ensuring the security and integrity of data, and leading a team of IT professionals. The Assistant Manager, IT will work closely with various departments to understand their technology needs and implement solutions that enhance operational efficiency.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Assist the IT Manager in developing and implementing the organization’s IT strategy and objectives.
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting for hardware, software, and network-related issues.
- Oversee the installation, configuration, and maintenance of computer systems, servers, and network infrastructure.
- Ensure the security of information systems, including implementing and monitoring data backup and disaster recovery plans.
- Manage and coordinate IT projects, including gathering requirements, developing project plans, and ensuring timely completion.
- Collaborate with vendors and external partners to procure and implement technology solutions.
- Stay up to date with emerging technologies and industry trends to identify opportunities for process improvement and innovation.
- Lead a team of IT professionals, providing guidance, coaching, and performance evaluations.
- Develop and enforce IT policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
- Conduct regular audits and assessments of IT systems to identify vulnerabilities and implement appropriate security measures.
- Collaborate with other departments to understand their technology needs and provide solutions that align with their goals and objectives.
- Manage the IT budget, including cost estimation, budget allocation, and monitoring expenses.
- Develop and maintain relationships with internal stakeholders and external partners to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
- Prepare and present reports to senior management on IT performance, projects, and initiatives.
- Any other responsibility as may be given by the appropriate authority.

Educational Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in information technology, computer science, or a related field.
- Candidate having master degree in related field will be given preference.
- Functional / Technical Skills and Relevant Experience & Other requirements (Behavioural, Language, Certifications etc.)
- Minimum 5 years of experience in IT field.
- Proven experience in a similar IT role, with a focus on system administration, network management, and project management.
- Strong technical knowledge of computer systems, networks, hardware, software, and security principles.
- Experience with IT infrastructure management, including server administration, virtualization, and cloud technologies.
- Proficiency in troubleshooting and resolving technical issues, with excellent problem-solving skills.
- Project management skills, including the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
- Strong leadership and team management abilities, with a collaborative and inclusive approach.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Knowledge of IT best practices, industry standards, and regulatory compliance.
- Familiarity with Android based App and Web application
- Certifications such as Network+, Security+, or project management certifications are a plus.
- Ready to travel in different states where THF works.
