Job Description:
We are searching for a passionate research professional who has research interest in blended finance, outcomes-based financing and innovative finance and also has a deep understanding of finance and impact investments.
Key Responsibilities
Research and Analysis:
- Conduct thorough research on blended finance models, mechanisms, and case studies.
- Analyze financial instruments, investment trends, and best practices in blended finance.
- Stay abreast of global developments in the field and assess their implications for various sectors
Data Collection and Management: - Gather and organize relevant data on blended finance transactions.
- Utilize financial models and analytical tools to assess the impact and effectiveness of blended finance interventions.
- Report Writing and Communication:
- Prepare high-quality research reports and white papers on blended finance topics.
- Communicate findings effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences through written reports, presentations, and other mediums.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to disseminate research outcomes.
Project Management: - Manage and coordinate research projects related to blended finance, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality outputs.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate research findings into broader organizational
- strategies and initiatives.
Networking and Partnerships: - Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders in the blended finance ecosystem, including government agencies, financial institutions, NGOs, and private sector entities.
- Represent the organization at conferences, workshops, and industry events to stay connected with the latest trends and foster partnerships.
Experience and Qualification Required
- Master’s degree in finance, economics, or a related field. A Ph.D. is desirable.
- Minimum 5-7 years of proven experience in research and analysis, with a focus on blended finance or impact investing.
- Strong quantitative and qualitative research skills, including proficiency in financial modelling.
- Exposure to social sector organisations
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Project management experience, including the ability to lead and coordinate cross-functional teams.
- Familiarity with international development issues and a commitment to blended finance
