**Job Description:**

 

We are seeking a dynamic and motivated Chief of Staff to support our Chief Finance Officer (CFO) and the finance team in driving strategic initiatives and ensuring the smooth operation of the finance function. This role will be critical in enhancing the efficiency and effectiveness of the finance team, while contributing to IDinsight’s overall growth and impact.

 

**Responsibilities:**

 

* **Strategic Support:**  

    * Partner closely with the CFO on strategic planning, budgeting, and forecasting for the organization.

    * Lead the development of financial reports, presentations, and other key deliverables.

    * Analyze financial data and trends to identify opportunities for improvement.

    * Help the CFO manage relationships with key stakeholders, including board members, donors, and partners.

* **Operational Efficiency:**

    * Manage the CFO’s calendar, schedule meetings, and prepare materials for meetings and presentations.

    * Oversee the day-to-day operations of the finance team, including expense management, payroll, and accounts payable.

    * Implement and maintain systems and processes to improve efficiency and accuracy of financial operations.

    * Identify and implement process improvements, streamlining workflows and automating tasks.

* **Project Management:** 

    * Manage special projects related to finance, as needed.

    *  Work closely with the CFO on the implementation of new finance systems and initiatives.

    * Effectively manage timelines and resources for assigned tasks and projects.

* **Communication and Collaboration:**

    * Effectively communicate financial information to the CFO and other stakeholders.

    * Collaborate effectively with team members across departments to ensure smooth and efficient financial operations.

    *  Maintain strong interpersonal skills and a collaborative working style.

 

**Qualifications:**

 

* Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field required.

* Minimum of 5 years of experience in a finance-related role, preferably in a non-profit or development organization.

* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

* Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).

* Experience with financial software systems (e.g., NetSuite, QuickBooks).

* Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.

* Detail-oriented and highly organized.

* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

**Location:**

 

This position is based in our **Delhi, India** office, with some potential for remote work.
