## Development Organizer
**Aga Khan Rural Support Programme (India)** is a non-profit organization dedicated to improving the lives of rural communities across India. We are committed to promoting sustainable development by working alongside local communities to address issues related to agriculture, climate resilience, work and enterprise, and rural governance.
**About the Role:**
We are looking for a passionate and dedicated **Development Organizer** to join our team in **Hajipur (Vaishali District)**. As a Development Organizer, you will play a pivotal role in empowering rural communities through our various livelihood-based projects.
**Responsibilities:**
* Community mobilization and institution development
* Participatory planning with stakeholders
* Capacity building of Self Help Groups (SHGs), community members, volunteers, and institutions
* Understanding community needs and core issues related to rural development and livelihood activities
* Identifying potential markets and developing agricultural production plans for beneficiaries
* Following up on existing activities like goat rearing, vermicompost, group irrigation systems, and more
* Imparting training on ongoing activities and disseminating information about new agricultural technologies
* Establishing relationships with Agricultural Universities and related bodies like RAU, Pusa, NABARD, Banks, etc.
* Ensuring documentation and monitoring systems for the program in your assigned area
* Participation in other livelihood activities
**Required Skills and Competencies:**
* Good understanding of rural issues
* Experience in community mobilization aspects
* Working experience in livelihood-based projects focusing on farmer income
* Ability to work effectively in a multi-stakeholder environment
* Attention to detail
* Proficiency in computer operations
**Qualifications:**
* B.Sc. Agriculture, MBA-Rural Management/Development, Agribusiness, or Allied Technical Qualification
**Experience:**
* 1-2 years of experience preferred; freshers are encouraged to apply
