## School Coordinator – Social Work

**Job Description:**
Akanksha is looking for a passionate and dedicated School Coordinator – Social Work to join our team in **Pune**. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the well-being of our students by working closely with the community, parents, and the school team.
**Responsibilities:**
* **Student Admission:** Manage the entire student admission process, including community outreach, application processing, and lottery procedures.
* **Student Attendance:** Collect attendance records, conduct follow-ups on absenteeism, and investigate drop-out cases.
* **Student Records:** Maintain student follow-up and drop-out details, collect relevant documents, and ensure accurate data entry in the school system.
* **Government Relations:** Liaise with government offices to ensure that students receive all entitled benefits and programs.
* **Student Welfare:** Partner with doctors and hospitals to provide healthcare for students, monitor student health and emotional development, and support struggling students.
* **Community Development:** Conduct community mapping, identify community challenges, and engage in initiatives aimed at improving the living conditions.
* **Parent Engagement:** Build relationships with parents, organize monthly meetings, and encourage parent involvement in the school.
* **School Management Committee (SMC):** Facilitate the establishment and empowerment of the SMC, ensuring their active involvement in school improvement.
* **Helper Engagement:** Assist in the recruitment and induction of school helpers, provide orientation and training, and ensure they receive necessary support and benefits.
**Requirements:**
* Minimum 2 years of relevant social work experience in an educational setting or with children, or a fresh MSW graduate with strong internship experience.
* Strong social work knowledge and expertise in multi-tasking.
* Excellent communication skills in Hindi & Marathi, and reasonable English language skills.
* Ability to interact effectively with diverse stakeholders, including students, parents, teachers, and government officials.
* Patience, problem-solving skills, and a solution-oriented mindset.
* Good planning and organizational skills.
* Strong team player with a self-motivated attitude and strong work ethic.
* Openness to feedback and critical reflections.
* Graduate from any stream with an MSW degree.
* Computer literacy is a must.
