Aga Khan Rural Support Programme (India) – AKRSP(I) is a program of the Aga Khan Development Network (AKDN), working in over 30 countries around the world.  AKRSP(I) is dedicated to improving the lives of rural communities in India through sustainable development initiatives.

 

**Job Description:**

 

We are seeking a passionate and experienced Development Organiser – Gender to join our team in Wankaner, Gujarat. The ideal candidate will be a highly motivated individual with a strong understanding of rural development and a commitment to empowering women and girls.

 

**Responsibilities:**

 

* Community mobilization, interaction and management

* Conducting PRA exercises, baseline surveys and case studies writing

* Capacity building of staff and women and male farmers through trainings, workshops, exposure visits and meetings

* Contributing towards village development activities like agriculture, watershed, Natural Resource Management, Micro enterprise, animal husbandry etc.

* Reviving, nurturing and facilitating institutions

 

**Qualifications & Experience:**

 

* Graduate/Postgraduate in social science / Rural Development / Rural management / Agriculture / Another related subject, post graduate and relevant experience will be given preference

* Minimum 1.5 – 2 years of experience in a relevant field

* Strong communication and interpersonal skills

* Ability to work effectively with rural communities

* Basic understanding of Planning, Designing and Execution process of development intervention

* Basic understanding of Data and Report writings, Computer Skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

* Riding of Two-Wheeler

 

**Preferred:**

 

* Female candidates will be given preference.
