**About ICARDA**

The International Center for Agricultural Research in the Dry Areas (ICARDA) is a non-profit, international agricultural research organization working to improve the livelihoods of people in dry areas. ICARDA conducts research on crops, livestock, and water management, and works with farmers and communities to develop and implement sustainable agricultural practices. ICARDA is headquartered in Beirut, Lebanon, and has offices in several countries around the world.

**Job Location:** New Delhi, India

**Job Summary:**

ICARDA’s Communications Team carries out a diverse range of activities in a busy and time-restricted environment to market the work, news, and achievements of the organization. We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Communications Coordinator to join our team in New Delhi, India.

**Responsibilities:**

* Assist in the development and implementation of communication strategies and plans.

* Create and edit a variety of communication materials, including press releases, website content, social media posts, and newsletters.

* Manage ICARDA’s social media accounts and engage with followers.

* Assist with the organization and execution of communication events, such as conferences, workshops, and webinars.

* Monitor media coverage and prepare reports on communication activities.

* Support the Senior Communications Manager with other tasks as needed.

**Qualifications:**

* Bachelor’s degree in communications, journalism, or a related field.

* Minimum of 3 years of experience in a communications role.

* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

* Strong organizational and time management skills.

* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

* Proficiency in social media platforms and content management systems.

* Experience in the agricultural sector is an advantage.
