**Job Title:** Associate – Accounts & Reporting

**Job Location:** Mumbai, India
**Experience Required:** 2-4 years of full-time work experience in financial management.
**Responsibilities:**
* Manage bank payments and receipts, ensuring bank compliance.
* Verify staff expenses and reimbursements.
* Update accounts payable and perform reconciliations.
* Participate in month-end closing activities, including journal entries and analysis.
* Check completed work by contractors and vendors.
* Report on program finances, developing and documenting accounting systems.
* Advise on tax strategies and forecast assumptions.
* Ensure compliance with payment, reporting, and tax requirements.
* Coordinate with employees and the operations team for efficient accounting.
* Assist in drafting accounting and bookkeeping forms and manuals.
* Explore solutions to institutional and financial problems.
* Analyze accounting issues, discuss solutions with the reporting manager, and coordinate with the accounting firm.
* Prepare, examine, and analyze accounting records and financial reports for accuracy and compliance.
* Review accounts for discrepancies and reconcile differences.
* Additional responsibilities as assigned by the Reporting Manager.
**Qualifications and Requirements:**
* M.Com or MBA in Finance.
* Proficient knowledge of FCRA and TDS filings, PT returns, and filings.
* Excellent communication skills with various stakeholders.
* Strong conceptual understanding of accounting structures.
* Understanding of taxes, cash flow management, bank reconciliation, and bookkeeping.
* Strategic thinking and attention to detail.
* Experience working in an NGO and knowledge of FCRA are beneficial.
**Salary and Benefits:** 1,050,000 – 1,250,000 INR CTC per annum (commensurate with experience).
