**Position Overview:**  

Swaniti Initiative is seeking a Senior Manager for its Just Transition program. The ideal candidate will lead initiatives aimed at facilitating equitable and inclusive transitions toward a sustainable and low-carbon economy. This role requires expertise in quantitative and qualitative research, policy ecosystems, program management, community engagement, and sustainable development.  

**Key Responsibilities:**  

1. **Research and Technical Expertise:**  

   – Finalize and execute research projects to guide policies.  

   – Coordinate with stakeholders during the finalization of research components.  

   – Propose new ideas and execute research requirements as needed.  

   – Conduct desk reviews, primary research, and synthesize technical information for policymakers.  

2. **Program Design and Management:**  

   – Develop, implement, and oversee programs aligned with Just Transition principles.  

   – Monitor budgets and administrative requirements of the program.  

   – Publish periodic reviews of programs for internal and external stakeholders.  

3. **Policy Advocacy:**  

   – Engage decision-makers through strategic advocacy based on program findings.  

   – Build relationships with key stakeholders, including governments, industries, and labor organizations.  

   – Represent the organization at events, forums, and meetings to advance policy objectives.  

4. **Other Duties:**  

   – Contribute to proposals, reports, concept notes, and research briefs.  

   – Collaborate with communications, administration, and finance teams.  

   – Manage team coordination, contracts, and Scope of Work (SoW).  

**Essential Qualifications:**  

– Advanced university degree (PhD/M.Phil or Master’s) in economics, public policy, or related fields.  

– Minimum 7 years of work experience for candidates with a Master’s degree; 3-4 years for those with a PhD.  

– Expertise in statistical tools and data analysis/visualization skills.  

– Experience working in policy/governance/development sectors.  

– Strong stakeholder management, analytical, strategic thinking, and communication skills.  

– Demonstrated experience in Just Transition, environmental governance, sustainability, and climate change.
