Summary:
The Head of Operations will function as part of Ei Shiksha’s Leadership Team to generate tangible value and sustainable benefits. You will oversee the strategic alignment, direction and implementation of various projects and program across regions and better execute the short and long term objectives of the organisation. Ideal candidates for this position will have proven senior management experience in a highly dynamic setting are ambitious and performance-oriented with exceptional people and planning skills.
Role-Responsibilities:
The below list is not exhaustive but illustrates the scope of responsibilities and provides insight into other tasks that may be required or assigned as per need. The responsibilities are supported by existing critical employees who will report into you.
- Leadership and Strategy: Builds and implements the operational roadmap in alignment with Ei’s 5 year strategic plan.
- Operational Planning and Management: Develops annual operational plan, engaging key internal and external stakeholders.
- Program Planning and Management: Ensure accountability of delivery of programs and a focus on improving the quality of outcomes.
- Human Capital Management: Ensure effective manpower planning for operations management and program delivery.
- Stakeholder Management: Communicate with stakeholders to keep them informed of the work of the organisation.
- Risk Management: Identify and evaluate the risks to the organisation’s stakeholders and implement measures to control risks.
Primary metrics for measuring success would be ensuring value creation on the last mile for partners and schools, team building and training, getting govt. buy in, usage, # of users, revenue sourcing, payment collections & maintaining profitability/sustainability of the project.
Skills and Education:
- You have 10-20 years’ experience in business strategy and scaling operations at a rapid pace in different geographies in India.
- Your recent 5-6 years of senior management/ leadership experience is in handling large teams over multiple geographies, hierarchies and functions.
- You have experience working with various NGOs, CSR Heads, Govt officials and agencies including but not limited to Central Govt of India, State Govt. and local govt bodies (like municipalities, etc) for launching/ delivering services on-ground.
- You have strong communication and planning skills
- You have excellent knowledge and demonstrated experience of working with multiple operational functions, including finance, customer service, and employee management
