WRI India, an independent charity legally registered as the India Resources Trust, provides objective information and practical proposals to foster environmentally sound and socially equitable development. Program Overview for Sustainable Cities and Transport

About your role:
This is a technical research and stakeholder management position within the electric mobility team at WRI India.
How your day will unfold:
- Undertaking primary research to support key stakeholders in India’s EV ecosystem including implementing agencies, policymakers, banks and/ or NBFCs on improving the business case and access to affordable financing for EV charging infrastructure development
- Carrying out detailed calculations and liaising with financial experts, industry professionals and other external stakeholders to produce insights on the business viability and the financing requirement for scaling up public charging infrastructure
- Examining India’s and international experience in rolling out public charging infrastructure to understand the various implementation models and their comparative advantages
- Taking initiatives to facilitate collaborations for attracting investments and financing for EV charging infrastructure implementation in the country
- Contributing to various aspects of project delivery as needed, such as government interfacing, partner management, people engagement, project documentation, etc.
- Producing independently written outputs, including WRI working papers, policy briefs, blog posts, newspaper articles, etc.
- Assisting in organizing events, workshops, webinars, etc. and developing presentations/ discussion materials for the same
Qualifications and requirements we seek:
- Master’s degree in relevant disciplines such as Project/ Infrastructure Financing, Financial Due-diligence, Finance & Strategy, Business Management, etc. Alternatively, CFA (Level III) with academic degree in engineering, economics or statistics will do.
- 2-3 years of practical work experience in the domains of transport, public infrastructure, investment promotion, lending, financing, etc.
- Background in academic research, advisory or consulting is preferred.
- Excellent writing and spoken skills in English to coherently convey complex information to a technical and policy audience
- Should have experience in writing reports, briefs, and making presentations
- Responsible and self-motivated individual that can work independently or in a team.
- Ability to receive and incorporate constructive feedback effectively.
Salary and Benefits: 6,50,000 to 7,50,000 CTC PA
Salary shall be commensurate with experience and skills. WRI offers a generous and comprehensive benefits package.
Duration: 1 year (Extendable based on performance and project requirements)
