Job Description

This is a remote position.

Role :

We are building one of the world’s best tech platforms for online giving. We provide opportunities for people to donate to any cause, non-profit, or geography that they care about in the most simple, personalized, and effective manner. We scale our impact on the lives of millions of underprivileged people every year through our workplace giving, subscription giving, and crowdfunding products. At Give, we are looking for top talent for our engineering team – engineering manager/ senior engineering manager who wants to solve complex problems, build a top notch engineering team, continually learn, and most importantly, make a real impact in the lives of others.

Role Responsibilities :

  • Engaging and motivating team by regular 1×1
  • Create opportunities for team members to enhance their skills (training plans, growth plans etc)
  • Creating, owning and adopting new engineering practices; enhancing software development methodologies
  • Working closely with the architects to continuously focus on performance and scalability of the product
  • Continuous engagement with product teams to ensure team capacity to support ongoing roadmap items, either by upskilling of existing resources or hiring from outside
  • Align with the product team for quarterly deliveries
  • Improve and enhance product delivery by removing any frictions or by suggesting process improvements
  • Own delivery for major tech/ product initiatives
  • Performance review of the entire dev team including on quarterly/ yearly basis and provide ongoing feedback for improvements

Requirements :

  • 10+ years of total IT experience
  • ​Proven experience in building and managing engineering teams
  • Extremely good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Deep knowledge and understanding of engineering processes and development methodologies such as Scrum
  • Good experience in working with opensource technologies such as at least one of the technologies such as Nodejs, Mongodb, Reactjs
  • Experience in developing B2C web applications
  • Knowledge of cloud platform such as AWS is a plus
