JOB SUMMARY

The position shall be responsible for executing and managing financial and account activities of CISSD at CSO New Delhi. The primary responsibility will be to manage all accounting related activities with focus on, entry and handling all the financial transactions, support in various audits & in managing compliances, funds management, preparation and maintenance of related documents and participating actively in preparation and tracking of the budgets utilizations at CSO Delhi.

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Record financial transactions in Oracle PeopleSoft ERP in timely fashion and subsequent payouts as per CISSD policy without transgressing access rights and subsequent payouts as per CISSD policy. 
  • To manage all financial transactions including reconciliation of various control accounts in line with CISSD policies/guidelines/requirements and in compliance with applicable acts like FCRA, Income Tax etc.
  • To perform Bank reconciliation alongwith other reconciliation on a monthly/Quarterly basis.
  • To reviews sub-ledger accounts (Receivables/Payables) etc. as per the CISSD Policy.
  • To oversee month closing and to ensuring that all the transactions for the month are recorded withing the timelines set by CSO.
  • To generate expense report project wise and submit them to the Manager-Finance Operations every fortnight.
  • To review supporting documents of all the expenses submitted/claimed by the staff and of the invoices raised by the vendors as per CISSD policy.
  • To ensure periodic balance confirmations from the vendors / suppliers & also from the banks.
  • To ensure proper maintenance of all finance department files.
  • To support CISSD Audit SPOC during the various Audits.
  • Review & preparation of GST Challans & returns on monthly/Quarterly basis. 
  • Any other work as assigned by reporting manager time to time

Will be associated with finance personnel at CSO

QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCE

Essential : 

  • Graduate or Post Graduate degree in Commerce, Finance or Accounts.
  • Should have 10 years of experience in handling financial and accounting activities
  • 5+ years in NGO sector with good knowledge about FCRA. 

SKILLS & COMPETENCIES

  • Understanding of the development sector.
  • Proficiency in ERP and MS Office.
  • Good understanding of FCRA accounting.
  • Good oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure.
  • Ability to work in team.
