The position is initially remote due to Covid restrictions and may switch to Delhi as per the organization’s need and work.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Implement and streamline project management processes;
  • Experience implementing agriculture projects on the ground; experience in regenerative agriculture and Agro-forestry projects is preferred;
  • Provide support to field teams across Punjab, Haryana and Rajasthan in project design, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation;
  • Knowledge and experience in supply chain management including traceability and legal compliance;
  • Execution of assigned traceability projects;
  • Strong research skills in supply chain, agriculture and evolving business trends on sustainable practices in global supply chains;
  • Strong industry networks are a plus;
  • Support business development team through research, networking and proposal building;
  • Coordination with member manager and relevant stakeholder internally and externally;
  • Identification and coordination with relevant agencies for communication and branding ;
  • Write communication pieces and develop articles as and when required for projects and other activities;
  • Foster strong relationships with stakeholders and like-minded organizations;
  • Timely execution of assigned tasks, members KPIs, and Earthworm KPIs.

REQUIREMENTS – CANDIDATE PROFILE MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor/Postgraduate degree holder or other equivalent higher-level training in environmental science/social work (MSW) and/or other related fields;
  • A minimum of 7 years working experience in the development sector with a focus on supply chain/value chain sustainability;
  • Experience working on commodity market linkages with domestic and international brands;
  • Links with educational and research institutes to build organizational knowledge and ability to implement on the ground;
  • Understanding of government policies and programme on agriculture;
  • Ability to support the design and implementation of carbon offsetting project models for various geographies within India;
  • Ability to build networks on field as well as organizational connections;
  • Strong analytical skills, including the ability to analyze systems and identify key issues and risks;
  • Has a growth and experimental mindset, with the ability to adapt to changes in an organized manner;
  • Good understanding and a keen interest in environmental and social issues.
  • Sound knowledge of Microsoft Office Skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook);

Language skills:

  • Fluency in English (spoken and written);
  • Fluency in Hindi (spoken and written);
  • Any other Indian language: a plus.

Working conditions / Physical effort:

Other information:

  • Immediate start;
  • One-year contract (renewal – subject to project’s needs);

  • Valid authorisation to work in Indian required.
