Required Education, Experience & Skills

  • Master’s degree, with at least 10 years of relevant professional experience and being well verse in working with Start Ups & established players.
  • Experience of working in rural/development/fin-tech & financial services for the poor through mobile and digital services platforms and deep knowledge of Business Correspondent Model will be an added advantage.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to represent the organization in front of external stakeholders and government/institutional/corporate authorities is a must.

Essential Job Functions

Operations & Project Management

  • Developing operations strategy for effectively scaling of the business operations in the targeted geography.
  • Conduct extensive sector specific research. Evaluate and implement new initiatives/activities for sales & service enhancement, customer experience.
  • Identifying emerging business models. Preparing business plans to address untapped market.
  • Managing rural banking/payments/retail/lending/agriculture Input marketing & sales activities through channel/distributor & BC model platform in the assigned geography.
  • Deploying innovative research techniques and leveraging result insights to drive rural & agriculture market ecosystem for institutions, individual farmers & producers.
  • Create and manage budgets, and track progress against budgets.
  • Develop detailed project plans with associated milestones and work with internal and external personnel to ensure goals, timelines and quality parameters are achieved using Project Management tools.

Partner & Channel Relationship Management

  • Act as primary contact for the implementing partners & channel.
  • Proactively recognize and address concerns/ issues and use set communication protocols and methods to maintain an open, transparent and trusting relationship.
  • Initiating value proposition-based proof of concept for proposed solutions through partners.

People Management

  • Coaching and mentoring of all direct reports such as Project/Area Managers, Project/Field Coordinators and Associates/Mobilizers & Field Agents.
  • Inspire & Motivate the team and ensure a conducive workplace environment in which employees/partners/channels collaborate effectively and deliver their best performance.

Reporting and relationships:  The position will report to the Associate Director – Programs & Operations.
