**Job Description: Analyst – Center for Sustainable Finance (CSF), Climate Policy Initiative (CPI)**  

**Location:** Delhi/NCR, India  

 

**About CPI:**

With a focus on regions like India, CPI provides in-depth analysis to support decision-makers in addressing climate risks and scarce resources. **Center for Sustainable Finance (CSF):**  

CSF is a knowledge hub in India aimed at aligning the financial sector towards sustainable development. It facilitates dialogue among stakeholders, including banks and regulators, to reorient financial intermediation toward sustainability. CSF supports policymakers by developing platforms, sharing best practices, and delivering capacity-building programs.

 

**Position Summary:**  

The Analyst role involves supporting research initiatives, capacity-building activities, and stakeholder engagement in sustainable finance. The ideal candidate will have experience in climate policy, finance, or regulation, with a focus on social and governance issues.

 

**Key Responsibilities:**  

– Conduct research and analysis on sustainable finance topics such as policy, market practices, taxonomy, and financial mechanisms.

– Develop and deliver capacity-building programs for banks, financial institutions, and policymakers.

– Support the planning and execution of collaborative forums and dissemination activities.

– Engage with stakeholders to provide advice on research findings and represent CPI at events.

 

**Qualifications & Experience:**  

– Postgraduate degree in Finance, Economics, Engineering, Management, or related fields (CFA preferred).

– 2-4 years of relevant experience in financial services, consulting, non-profits, government, or multilateral institutions.

– Strong analytical skills, ability to work under pressure, and excellent communication skills in English.

 

**Desirable Qualifications:**  

– Knowledge of climate finance and financial sector actors crucial for a low-carbon economy.

– Experience working with government, regulators, philanthropy, or DFIs.

 

**Competencies:**  

– Team player with self-starter tendencies.

– Strong quantitative and critical thinking abilities.

– Proficiency in MS Office Suite, particularly Excel.

 

**Location & Compensation:**  

Based in Delhi/NCR. CPI offers a competitive compensation package dependent on experience.
