Designation offered: Archival and Digital Asset Management Consultant
Team: Outreach
Reporting to: Sr Communications Specialist & Archivist
Location: New Delhi, India
Duration: 12-month contract
Purpose
- To set up, curate, tag, populate and maintain a digital asset management (DAM) software system for CEEW to archive digital institutional assets – photos, videos, artworks, films, etc. in an easy-to-search and share platform (resource folder).
- To support in conceiving and delivering archive-based story-telling resources.
- To create an SOP institution-wide to enable multiple teams to contribute to and use the DAM resources.
CEEW invites applications from experienced digital asset managers with prior experience of having built DAM platforms for organisations.
The candidate should be solution-oriented, detail-oriented and committed to adhering to timelines. In addition to the duties and responsibilities below, the individual should be prepared, as and when necessary, to take on additional responsibilities.
Deliverables and Responsibilities
Essential
- Support digital asset storage, cataloguing and tagging within the digital photo library Perform content assessment, classification, and organization of digital assets into a digital asset management system
- Assign metadata and controlled vocabulary terms
- Ensure content is properly tagged for easy search and distribution
- Run routine quality control checks on processed assets
- Identify and assist in curating and packaging existing content to promote reuse and awareness
- Gain proficiency in media content management software to become a database administrator
Routine
- Troubleshooting, as required
- Understand CEEW’s practices & products to add value to access and share requests for content to make utilisation more seamless and trackable
Systemic
- Participate in developing, maintaining and continuously improving the digital asset workflow and process
- Track historical use of all digital asset requests and improve assessment management on that basis
- Support internal clients and super-users in software
- Assist and training in the management of assets: access, usage, metadata application, delivery and distribution requests
Qualifications
Required Bachelor’s degree/ Masters in Library Science, Archive Management, or Digital Information Systems
Work experience and skills
- 2-4 years of work experience in digital asset management, content management Willingness to learn, open to feedback.
- Strong English language skills
- Ability to
- work independently as well as collaboratively in cross-functional teams
- communicate clearly and professionally in both written form and verbally
- work with exceptional attention to accuracy, consistency and detail
- exercise impeccable judgment when dealing with highly confidential information
- Proficient with Excel & PowerPoint
- Enthusiastic and self-motivated, flexible, and professional
- Experience in media management, familiar with most media formats, distribution and asset workflows
