Job purpose
The position of Assistant Project Officer (APO) – Bal Mitra Gram is designed to work with District Child Protection Unit (DCPU) and taking lead in assisting the DCPUs and child protection system up to village level in implementation of the Bal Mitra Gram program as per the objectives of the MoU. The position holder will be based out of DCPU office and required to travel to 10 villages to ensure the quality implementation of the programme by support and mentoring.
The position holder will be responsible for guiding and ensuring effective implementation to achieve sustainable positive changes in the lives of children. S/he will also ensure building of effective projects monitoring & evaluation system in order to achieve the overall objectives of the focused initiatives of the KSCF. S/he in this position will be accountable for ensuring effective integration of quality field projects, with selected advocacy interventions/social campaigns, and thereby advancing synergistic, long-term, and sustainable impact in the lives of KSCF’s Impact Population.
The position holder would also coordinate with key Program forums, networks etc., and ensure KSCF’s value-addition in the Program work.
Job Description (Role Expectations)
- Act as a Nodal Officer/point of contact from the organization and establish regular coordination with the District Administration. He/She should establish a direct contact with the DM.
- Assist the District Administration in implementation of joint action plan developed in consultation with them for 10 villages.
- Monitor the project plans, project schedules, budgets, and expenditures.
- Identify specific challenges and gaps at the field level in the implementation of the program and highlight the same to the central team and DA.
- Attend all the important meetings organized by the DA and other relevant stakeholders in the district
- Sharing the minutes/action points of the meeting is being held with District Administrations with Central Office.
- Should share the weekly and monthly reports of the project to Central team.
- Should maintain proper documentation of the work including letters, RTIs, success stories, case studies at the district level
- Should prepare the case studies/success stories from the field and share the same with the central team on regular basis.
- Should monitor the data-entry that will be done in the Dashboard.
- Should collaborate with NGO partners and volunteers at the grassroots to expand the work.
- Should assist in the any additional work assigned by the Supervisor/Manager.

Experience
· Minimum 2-3 years of relevant experience with adequate experience in working at district level

- Language Requirements; Working command over local language of State where the positions are based and English
- Professional experience of working in a global NGO, foundation or business.
