**Job Summary:**

 

WRI India seeks a detail-oriented and organized individual to support operational and administrative activities. This role involves maintaining budgets for complex grants, tracking expenditures, monitoring contracts, managing events, and performing other administrative tasks.

 

**Responsibilities:**

 

* **Financial Management (30%):** Update and maintain project budgets using WRI’s budgeting software (TM1); collaborate with the accounting team, payments team, HR, and program teams; coordinate timesheets and expense reporting; support ad hoc financial expenditures for program outreach and delivery; ensure compliance with grant and contract agreements.

* **Contracts Management (30%):** Process documentation for agreements, contracts, and purchase orders; monitor contract performance; assist partners in meeting sub-grant and contract requirements; maintain supporting reports; process invoices and payments; guide partners on compliance with funder policies.

* **Conference, Event & Travel Support (20%):** Coordinate conference and event logistics (venue, catering, equipment); provide travel and visa support; support financial management for conference and event logistics.

* **Administration (20%):** Coordinate team meetings; assist with annual planning; update new hire information; coordinate recruitment and onboarding (if needed); manage program trackers.

 

**Qualifications:**

 

* Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or Accounting.

* Two or more years of full-time experience in financial management, budgeting, administration, or nonprofit operations.

* Adaptability to changing priorities and ability to manage multiple projects with varying deadlines.

* Strong attention to deadlines, particularly regarding grant compliance and contract monitoring.

* Process-oriented with sensitivity to quality, timelines, and organizational systems.

* Strong writing, database management, and proofreading skills.

* Excellent written and oral communication skills; ability to work well in a team.

* Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook), web-based communication tools (Skype, Zoom), and CRM databases (Salesforce).

* Budgeting experience with Excel or other budgeting software is highly desirable.

* Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

 

 

**Compensation and Benefits:**
