**Job Description:**
The Associate Director, Industry Vertical will spearhead FAST India’s engagement with Indian industry. This leadership role requires building and maintaining relationships with industry CEOs, industry bodies (e.g., FICCI, CII), and relevant government officials. Responsibilities include:
* **Industry Partnerships:** Cultivating relationships to foster collaboration with FAST India’s initiatives.
* **Research & Strategy:** Developing strategic insights into various Indian industry sectors, identifying areas for intervention, implementing programs, and promoting best practices.
* **Sectoral Advisory Councils:** Establishing and managing expert councils to guide the development and implementation of sector-specific roadmaps for enhancing India’s S&T capabilities.
* **Advocacy & Awareness:** Raising awareness of the need for increased industry R&D and product innovation through various channels, including case studies, editorials, and social media.
* **Team Building:** Leading and mentoring a high-performing team focused on industry engagement.
**Qualifications:**
* Bachelor’s degree in engineering (B.Tech/M.Tech) and an MBA are preferred.
* Approximately 15 years of relevant experience.
* Proven ability to develop and execute long-term strategies within complex environments.
* Demonstrated success in building teams, forging partnerships, and influencing stakeholders.
* Exceptional communication skills (written and oral) with the ability to interact effectively with top industry leaders, academics, and government officials.
* A passion for technology and a commitment to driving national-level change. Experience building a vertical from scratch is highly desirable.
