Position Summary: As the Associate, Human Resources at Akanksha, you will partner with the central and school support teams to provide high-quality HR support in achieving the organization’s mission and vision. The HR team is responsible for effective recruitment, performance management and development, and employee engagement at Akanksha, and ensures that organizational policies are adhered to at all levels.

As an Associate – Human Resource, you will be responsible for supporting the HR team in a variety of HR activities including Recruitment, Onboarding, Volunteer Management, Data Management, Performance Management, Employee Engagement, and other HR initiatives.

You will be reporting to the Manager, Human Resources

Specific responsibilities will include:

  • Custodian of HR data and responsible for maintaining its integrity across the organization.
  • Tracking, monitoring, and reporting on key HR metrics and people-related data to enable data-driven decision-making.
  • Supporting the implementation of an effective HRIS (Qandle) at Akanksha
  • Design a plan to create high adoption across the organization.
  • Implement new modules in line with the overall HR strategy.
  • Support in implementing recruitment strategy and drive the recruitment and selection process right from sourcing to hiring.
  • Effectively onboard new employees into the Akanksha system in collaboration with Managers.
  • To execute all HR policies and processes and ensure quality and timely implementation.
  • To stay connected to employees using forums like staff meetings and other events and constantly check in with Managers about their team members.
  • Contribute to the HR team goals and priorities beyond individual goals and priorities

What you need for this role:

  • 1-2 years of experience in HR roles
  • Proficiency in the use of the MS office toolkit
  • Knowledge of an HRMS (preferred)
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Knowledge of current trends, resources, and information related to HR practices
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to deal with a diverse range of people;
  • Capacity to inspire, influence, and motivate others;
  • Ability to deal with information in a confidential manner and respond with sensitivity;
  • Good organizational skills and the ability to manage a variety of tasks;
  • Administrative and IT skills, and an ability to maintain records and produce reports
