## Associate Teacher – Physical Education
**About iTeach Schools:**
iTeach Schools is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing high-quality education to students from low-income communities across India. We believe in creating a level playing field for all children, regardless of their background. We achieve this by co-creating contextual school models with Municipal Corporations in Pune and Navi Mumbai.
Currently, we run 12 free and high-impact secondary schools and a college-to-career program for the most disadvantaged students. With a staff of 300 members across 12 schools, we serve 4500 students and 3000 alumni, giving them a fighting chance at college, career, and citizenship. Our goal is to expand to 30 schools and 10,000 students over the next five years.
**Job Location:** Bhosari, Pune
**Experience Required:**
* **Required:** Bachelor’s Degree with strong academic and holistic performance
* **Preferred:** B.P.Ed Degree
* **Preferred:** Teaching experience in a secondary grade for 1-2 years
**Responsibilities:**
As an Associate Teacher at iTeach Schools, you will play a crucial role in ensuring an excellent education for our students. Your responsibilities will encompass three key areas:
**1. Teaching PE (60% time):**
* Develop an Annual Plan, Unit Plans, and Lesson Plans for Physical Education teaching at the school.
* Ensure plans include a balance of fitness and sports expertise for students.
* Conduct PE classes and sports classes across the school (approximately 3 classes per grade).
* Conduct regular tests and assessments to monitor student fitness.
* Build a positive and strong school culture, with a focus on learning and joy.
* Collaborate with parents of the students through regular meetings to create a positive learning environment.
**2. Manage External Sports Coaches (20% time):**
* Identify 3-4 sports coaches for the students.
* Manage their performance and ensure they are professional and effective.
* Find and register students regularly for sports meets, events, and competitions.
**3. Leading Projects in School (20% time):**
* Work with the School Principal, Vice Principal, and teachers to design and run projects essential to student learning (based on your talents) such as Annual Day, Sports Day, Hobby Clubs, etc.
