About IHAT:
India Health Action Trust (IHAT) aims at improving public health initiatives by supporting programs nationally and globally through providing comprehensive technical assistance in program planning, management and monitoring. IHAT has set up a Technical Support Unit (TSU) for the Government of Uttar Pradesh to provide techno-managerial assistance to improve the coverage of key reproductive, maternal, new-born, child health and nutrition (RMNCHA+) interventions and services in the state from the funding support of Bill & Melinda Gate Foundation (BMGF) through University of Manitoba (UOM), Canada.

Associate -Technical (Nurse Mentoring) will report to the Senior Deputy Director, NFRU or person designated by him in NFRU team.

Job Summary:
The Associate-Technical (Nurse Mentoring) will provide vital assistance to the assigned reporting authority and develop routine project updates through narratives and power points by critically analysing available data and information; develop and manage project timelines; and ensure necessary follow-ups for delivery of tasks within given timelines. The individual will also manage the program calendars on behalf of the reporting authority.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist NM Team in technical components of program interventions – Nurse Mentoring, NBSU strengthening, Pronto implementation;
- Coordinate with the team lead, technical Specialists, towards understanding their program requirements and communicate with the Senior deputy director, Clinical to ensure availability of the same;
- Support in analysis and documentation of program data with a clear understanding of dashboard indicators;
- Keep all database and updates related to Nurse mentoring program;
- Prepare concept notes, reports, strategies and program progress documents;
- Support the program team in drafting operational guidelines and reviewing existing guidelines for related interventions in Uttar Pradesh;
- Plan, organize, and coordinate trainings /meetings /workshops for the NFRU team periodically;
- Develop necessary analysis and presentation framework for all internal and external meetings, and maintain minutes of major meetings;
- Case stories on regular interval to support nurse mentoring intervention;
- Coordinate with field teams like Quality Improvement Mentors, Nurse Mentors and State/District program officers and other stakeholders;
- Strengthen and enhance the quality of the program’s technical components through regular communication with the program implementation team;
- Keep updates of field situation in terms of staffs’ technical knowledge and issues facilitating / hindering program implementation by undertaking periodic field visits;
- Travel up to 30% of the time;
- Promote the work of India Health action trust – communicating, both internally and externally, in an accurate, sensitive and motivating fashion;
- Understand and be an advocate, internally and externally, for the values of India Health Action Trust;
- Other duties as required in line with your skills, experience and role.
Work Experience:
Experience:
- At least 3-5 years of experience in the documentation domain;
Previous exposure of working along with government and experience in the area of maternal, new-born and child health will be given preference.
Education:
- Bachelors in Medicine/Ayush/Public-Health/Management/ Mass Communication or relevant field;
- Post-graduation shall be added advantage.
Key Competencies:
- Strong documentation skill with ability to develop strategy note, technical brief, periodic newsletter and abstract (essential);
- Excellent computer skills (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Knowledge of data analysis packages like SPSS, STATA, etc. is desirable;
