## Job Description: Business Manager – udyaME Platform (for our social enterprise IMEDF)

**Job Description:**
To support micro-entrepreneurs, Development Alternatives Group has established the Indian Micro Enterprises Development Foundation (IMEDF) as a social enterprise. IMEDF strives to unleash entrepreneurship through retail and digital platforms under the udyaME brand. IMEDF is also the nodal agency for the Ministry of MSME’s SFURTI scheme.
The udyaME platform (udyame.in) is a mobile app and website designed to empower micro-entrepreneurs by providing a comprehensive suite of online services. DA Group, through one of its Special Purpose Vehicles, offers a complete range of online services to help build and grow rural enterprises. Adopting the Freemium model, the platform is already operational.
We are seeking a passionate and experienced Business Manager to:
* **Understand the needs of rural micro-entrepreneurs** and align the product roadmap to meet those needs.
* **Anchor the roll-out of marketing and sales strategies** for enterprise support services products and network development of the ‘udyaME’ digital platform.
* **Build partnerships with stakeholders** and strengthen the ‘udyaME’ brand.
* **Own and drive the business numbers** of products.
* **Formulate and deploy business transformational strategies** to increase performance, profitability, and business growth.
**Desirable Qualities:**
* **Ground understanding of rural micro-entrepreneurship.**
* **Demonstrated experience** in understanding and driving sales initiatives to grow customers, revenue, and accelerate growth in the delivery of products and services.
* **Experience in selling digital products** that impact the triple bottom line.
* **User-centric approach** with prior ground and corporate client-facing experience.
* **Excellent communication skills.**
* **Practical, committed, and problem-solving approach.**
* **Basic knowledge of web development** is a plus.
* **Ability to travel in rural India** for at least 10 days a month depending on pandemic restrictions.
