Job Opportunity for Chief Operating Officer at The Nudge Institute in Bengaluru

About The/Nudge:

The/Nudge is an action institute working towards a poverty-free India, within our lifetime. We partner with governments, markets, and civil society to build resilient livelihoods for all. We are a collective of some of India’s best leaders and entrepreneurs from across the industry, academia, government, and development sectors, and our work is organized across three impact streams:

• Centre for Skill Development & Entrepreneurship (CSDE): exists to enable underprivileged youth to lead flourishing lives
• Centre for Rural Development (CRD): exists to enable families to come out of extreme poverty
• Centre for Social Innovation (CSI): exists to nudge top talent to solve India’s biggest challenges

As the ‘Chief Operating Officer’ at The/Nudge, you will build and drive all the horizontal functions and Hubs required to deliver our impact, by working in close collaboration with various Centres and Programs. While the role will evolve to manage and lead more Hubs over time, at present, it includes the following:

• People & Culture Function
• Finance & Legal Function
• Technology Hub
• Impact Measurement & Management (IMM) Hub

You will work closely with the Founder & CEO to align on the overall strategy for these functions/Hubs and with complete ownership, deliver on our aspirations from these teams.

At The/Nudge, you will:

• own overall strategy and goals for all horizontal functions and Hubs, including technology, impact, finance, and people & culture
• role model ‘the spirit of The/Nudge’ in your action and behavior
• coach and mentor each functional leader within the team
• build systems, processes, and capabilities in each function/Hub in order to enable all our programs to deliver and scale their impact
• collaborate extensively with other internal stakeholders to drive results
• balance current priorities to deliver short-term results while enabling success in the future
